Woman Admits To Not Understanding Any Of The Motivational Quotes She Reposts On Facebook
“I’m a lover not a fighter, but I'll fight for what I love,” and “Shoot for the moon. Even if you fail, you’ll land among the stars,” are just two of a vast range of inane gibberish that gets reposted daily by millennials in a vague attempt to sound more mature and interesting than they actually are. But one woman after years of reposting such rubbish has finally come out and admitted she hasn’t a fucking clue what any of them actually meant.
“It just dawned on me one day that for years I’d been reposting complete waffle I didn’t understand, spouted by someone I’d never even heard of,” said Jenny. “I thought it would make me appear more intelligent to my friends. Looking back now, they must have thought I was an utter twat. I was even posting pictures of myself with glasses despite the fact I’ve perfect vision. It was all a bit desperate really. I’ve just recently turned 30, I’ve no friends and I am desperately single. I can’t help but think there’s a chance that my quotes had a part to play in it. I just hope now that I’ve stopped, people will start to talk to me again.”
Usually we here at mehoop, try our best to not point fingers or pass judgement. But we feel it our duty to confirm that indeed Jenny’s online regurgitation of absolute twaddle was a major contributing factor in her friends leaving her en masse. As for her lack of success romantically, we can only speculate it has something to do with the fact she looks like an overfed pug sucking on a piss and vinegar covered lemon. The fact she also insists on wearing plaid shirts and has the most ridiculous fucking hairstyle we’ve ever seen probably doesn't help her case much either.
But credit where credit is due. It wasn’t easy for Jenny to admit she has no personality. There are many out there just like her who are yet to develop the ability to think for themselves. If you spot one of these people, please slap them very hard and ask them to stop everything they are doing before it’s too late. They may be a friend, a family member or a work mate and are usually pretty easy to spot. They are often aged between 18 and 30. They regularly repost anything with the words “Strength” “Power” or “Dreams” contained in them. Probably something completely and utterly meaningless that sounds smart, but when you actually think about it, makes zero fucking sense.
To make these people even more deplorable than they already are, they don’t even come close to practicing the nonsensical rambling they have just imparted to you. They are the one in your group no one really likes and you can’t really recall how you ever became friends with them. Remember the one kid in school who broke open their pen and drank the inside thinking it was grape fruit juice. That’s them.
If you don’t know who that person is in your life, then I’m sorry to say it’s most likely you. So, for your sake and mine, stop reposting motivational quotes online. You neither understand nor follow anything they preach. They don’t motivate you and they certainly don’t motivate your friends. They make you seem dim, needy and unintelligent. For every one you repost, your friends remove one point from what we have already deemed to be your very low IQ score.
