Quiet. Pub lights shut off. Out stumbles a shadowy figure,
heading down the street, not noticing the car parked outside.

INT. CAR, OUTSIDE PUB, TOWN - CONTINUOUS.

SHARON BURKE (female, 56), at the wheel, phone in hand.

SHARON BURKE: Three-forty A.M. Subject McGarry leaves Bern’s pub on foot, for home. Will continue observation approximately in eight hours.

Sharon ends the recording. THOMAS CORNWALL (male, 25), in the
passenger seat, resting his head, looks over, nay amused.

THOMAS CORNWALL: Eight hours? He’s right there! It’s been weeks; what’s the point if we’re not going to bag him.

SHARON BURKE: We wait until the time is right.

Thomas looks away, watching the figure turn on a corner.

Thomas rushes out of the car. Sharon attempts to grab him.
    -

    EXT. PUB, TOWN - CONTINUOUS.

Thomas rushes passed the pub, pulling out a strange gun, a glowing red mist seeps from inside the barrel.

Tom gets to the street and sees the figure straight ahead, still walking away. He readies his gun, with the strange energy inside the barrel glowing brighter. Sharon’s car screeched in front of Thomas, distracting him.

    SHARON BURKE: Get in! Now!

Thomas looks up; the figure is gone. He enters the car.
    -

    INT. CAR, TOWN - CONTINUOUS

    Thomas enters in a huff.

    THOMAS CORNWALL: I had him!

    SHARON BURKE: You’re too green!

Sharon adjusts her rear view mirror.

SHARON BURKE: You have no idea how this goes do---

Sharon freezes, looking into the mirror. Thomas’ sulking is cut short as he looks over to Sharon. Thomas slowly goes to look behind them.

    SHARON BURKE: NO!

    Thomas snaps back.

SHARON BURKE: Don’t. Look forward. Don’t look back

Thomas, unnerved, looks forward, as does Sharon. Thomas steals a glance at the rear view mirror. It’s too dark to make out the figure in the back, but he’s stunned when he sees a pair of multi-coloured rainbow eyes looking back at him.

The figure’s hand reaches forward and places itself softly on Sharon’s shoulder. Sharon’s eyes widen, as if suddenly realising something.

Thomas looks down to his gun, breathing faster. He whips around, pointing the gun at an empty back seat. He looks around confused before turning to Sharon.

SHARON BURKE: Put on your seat belt.

Sharon composes herself, breathing deep and slow. Thomas sits back in his seat, uneasy, and puts on his seat belt, still looking at Sharon. Sharon puts the car in gear, slowly drives forward and undoes her seat belt. Thomas notices.

    THOMAS CORNWALL: What ar---

A car smashes right into the side of them. A crumbled and smoking wreck is left in its wake. Thomas’ battered and bleeding from the impact but alive. In shock, he looks to Sharon, lying motionless on the wheel.

Thomas looks to the other car and sees it’s empty. The only person he can see is the Banshee staring at him from down the street, before casually walking away.

    1. Boris Johnson

Reads a little more like a story than a script. I’m not sure if you would add so much direction to a script. But it might not be a bad thing. I actually want to know what’s going and what the man with the rainbow eyes is all about which is a good sign. I’d say for ease of reading put the character name then the dialogue on the next line. And the direction in brackets so it’s more readable.
